John Williams continues his longtime collaboration with Steven Spielberg in this adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel of the same name (previously filmed in 1953). Considering that the movie depicts a gigantic Martian invasion, you'd think Williams would have fully gone into his familiar bombastic mode, but he's refrained from doing so... |

First came the man: a young wanderer in a fatigue coat and long hair. Then came the legend, as John Rambo sprang from the pages of FIRST BLOOD to take his place in the American cultural landscape. This remarkable novel pits a young Vietnam veteran against a small-town cop who doesn't know whom he's dealing with -- or how far Rambo will take him into a life-and-death struggle through the woods, hills, and caves of rural Kentucky... |

House, by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker
Please?
All are amazingly good books, so if you're into scary/thriller/murder mystery, I suggest you read them.
I love House! Saint is a great story. It's by Ted Dekker.
Um, Oath by Frank Peretti. All I can think of for now.
Do You Collect Rambo Movie Knives?
Out of the many movie memorabilia categories out there that fans are looking out for, the Rambo knives probably have one of the richest stories behind them. This is because the knives that Sylvester Stallone uses in the movies as Rambo do not only vary per series but they were also handpicked by the actor himself, who happened to be another knife enthusiast like you.
Rambo was a movie that was taken from David Morrell’s novel that was published sometime in the 1970s. It was Carolco Pictures that made the adaptation in the 1980s and made a couple of tweaks to make the movie more appealing. For instance, the novel version never showed that Rambo carried some sort of knife and the protagonist died in the end. But in the movie, Rambo, played by Sylvester Stallone, carried around with him a large survival knife as his signature weapon, and this weapon became just as famous as the character himself.
The first of the Rambo knives series was the one that was used in the first movie, First Blood. Sylvester Stallone personally canvassed for the knife that he was going to use as Rambo and found Jimmy Lile, who eventually became the first creator of Rambo’s knife for the movie. When 25 years passed after the release of First Blood, they released the First Blood 25th Anniversary edition for all the fans to have. These were limited edition items so the avid fans of Rambo really went out and looked for them. The set also came complete with a precision compass and other things that made up a survival kit to fulfill that great Rambo theme that every fan should have with the limited edition knife.
As the different movies for Rambo came rolling into the industry, Stallone visited various knife makers to have another knife made for the upcoming films. Specifically, it was Jim Lile who took charge of the custom knives for the first two movies and was then later on replaced by Gil Hibben, who designed the Rambo knives for the third and fourth ones.
The story of the Rambo knives goes on, actually, and nobody really know what the movie fans will be surprised with next.
