Who are the protagonist and antagonist in Edith Wharton’s Roman Fever?
The protagonists are named Grace Ansley and Alida Slade. They’re two middle-aged American women who are visiting Rome with their daughters.
The antagonist is Alida’s fiance Delphin as both have some kind of relationship with him. I suppose you could also argue that Alida is also an antagonist since she once tired to trick Grace with a letter from Delphin to get her out of the way.
